Puget Sound Pizza Changing Hands
One of Tacoma’s most popular pizza joints may be under new ownership soon. Puget Sound Pizza located in the St. Helens Neighborhood at 7th & St. Helens Ave. is now under contract for new ownership. The owner, Jim Higgins, says long time employees Martin and Shannon are the buyers of the business. If all goes as well they should own the business within 60 days.
While rumors of the sale have been swirling around the neighborhood for months, the rumors of current owner, Jim Higgins, opening a new spot have been around for longer.
From his Facebook page:
“I’ve got a few ideas for new concepts that I’ve been kicking around. Tacoma has tons of potential (and available spaces) right now
Straight away I’m just gonna take a couple months and do some fun stuff, but eventually I’ll probably (more likely than not) do something similar.”
PSP has great pizza and an always entertaining atmosphere, what would you like to see change? Or change nothing at all?
Howdy all. The aforementioned Martin here.
Your input is valuable and I will check back to see what everyone has to say. We are not planning on fixing an unbroken thing, so you can expect that PSP will by and large remain the same. Everyone should expect maybe a couple more specialty pizzas to pop up, especially a taco pizza. Other than that, we are still talking about what other tweaks we could make to enhance what is already there. So, if you have a smart idea that you’d like to share, now is the time to say something. Cheers!
Martin, I would suggest getting a website.
I agree on the website. It would be great to be able to look at your menu online and order take out from there.
My wife and I would like to submit a formal request for Rainier cans (tall boy). In our opinion, this would take the PSP to the *next* level.
Definitely a website. I’d love to see karaoke on more nights again, and maybe some sort of fresh fruit/yogurt/granola option on the breakfast menu.
